Introducing Canterbury School's New Camp COAST - Outdoors Adventure Summer Camp for 2025!
This summer, Canterbury School is excited to launch a brand-new Outdoors Adventure Summer Camp for campers in rising grades 3-8. Our goal is to recreate the spirit of a traditional overnight camp—right here in sunny Southwest Florida—offering a day camp experience where campers can immerse themselves in nature, unplug from screens, and develop a lifelong appreciation for the great outdoors.
Our child-centered program is designed to keep kids engaged and excited with fun, hands-on activities that will have them eager to return each day, no matter the warm weather or physical challenges. The camp will split its time between the Canterbury campus and various outdoor destinations across the region. Weekly field trips will include local gems such as Sanibel Beach, Bunch Beach, Lover's Key State Park, 6-Mile Slough, ECHO, Bradford Preserve Eco Tour, the Calusa Amphitheater, and the Great Wolf Lodge.
In addition, every Thursday will feature a special overnight adventure at Fisheating Creek Outpost, complete with grilled dinners, campfires, field games, and cozy nights spent under the stars in tents. Campers should expect to get wet and muddy while exploring all that nature has to offer! Join us this summer for our inaugural program and start making unforgettable memories filled with friendship, adventure, and the joy of summer. We can’t wait to welcome your child to what will likely become a treasured tradition for years to come.
