This exciting summer camp is perfect for young students eager to dive into the world of photography, storyboarding, lighting, and video production. Through hands-on exploration, campers will interview, shoot, edit, and produce their own thrilling newscast, all while learning essential skills in video creation.
Campers will be introduced to every stage of video production—pre-production, production, and post-production—gaining experience with camera and audio operation, newscast creation, and even podcasting. They’ll also work in small groups, rotating through roles such as director, camera operator, and editor, using pro-level equipment like cameras and lights in our state-of-the-art Performance Arts Center (PAC).
Additionally, students will learn tips and techniques to create a professional presence, especially if they're using Zoom for school or other virtual platforms. In this fun and collaborative environment, students can bring their creative ideas to life and gain valuable skills in video production and teamwork!
