SAT Test Prep

Prepare for your standardized tests this summer! Canterbury faculty member, Mr. Jim Giesen, will serve as the instructor for these effective 15-hour test prep sessions. Mr. Giesen has been helping students prepare for the rigors of standardized testing and raise their scores since 2006 and has extensive experience, both as a tutor and an educator. He owned his own test prep and tutoring company for 6 years and served as the director of education for a successful tutoring company in St. Petersburg. The goal of this course is for students to gain an in-depth understanding of the ACT and SAT test formats, as well as gain confidence in test-taking strategies by practicing various test questions with guided instruction. Students will learn valuable strategies and engage in practice problems with instructor guidance and advice and will also complete and receive feedback on an official ACT test section.  Small groups ensure individualized attention and feedback.
