Silvia joined Canterbury in 2017 as our Lower School Spanish Teacher. She came to us from The Sanibel School where she taught Spanish for five years to students in kindergarten through eighth grade. She also has five years of experience teaching Spanish to pre-kindergarten students. Silvia earned her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Instituto Pedagógico Santa Rosa Perú. She is a strong proponent of providing students with co-curricular opportunities to further explore the Spanish language and culture.
Ferenc joined our Upper School in 2020 to teach in our Social Sciences and History Department. He came to us from Hathaway Brown School, a college prep school in Ohio, where he taught in the Aspire Program. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history and education from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, and also played Division III Football including being named to the All-America team. Ferenc was also a Denison Education Fellow and a member of the Kappa Delta Pi honor society.
