Grade 9
Grade 9 advisories join the College Guidance staff in the computer lab for Naviance/Family Connection registration.
At this time, students are introduced to the vast college & career resources in our Naviance system.
Students and parents are welcome to schedule an individual meeting with Mrs. Wilson between the months of Jan-June to establish the beginning of a “four year plan”. The plan will include potential courses and a personal game plan for the establishment of a strong leadership and service resume, connected to a student’s future aspirations.
College Planning Seminar for Grades 9 and 10 is offered in February.
All students in grade 9 take the PSAT in October. This assessment tests achievement levels in English, reading, writing, and mathematics. There is a career component to this assessment.
