Congratulations to junior Natasha A. ’25 for recently winning first place in the Patriots of the American History Essay Contest, sponsored by the Estero Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR).
Natasha wrote her essay about Deborah Sampson, a woman, disguised as a man, who fought with the Fourth Massachusetts Regiment in the Revolutionary War. “Three judges reviewed the entries, and Natasha was the unanimous choice,” shared Mrs. Amy Dunavant, Canterbury Upper School Social Sciences and History teacher.
