Athlete of the Week: April 8-14, 2024
Congratulations to varsity track and field athlete Ava W. '27 on being selected as our Athlete of the Week for the week of April 8-14, 2024.
The freshman high jumper has soared to new heights in just her first year. At the 4th Annual Cypress Lake Panther Invite, Ava set a school record in the high jump, clearing 5'3.75". This jump ranks No. 1 in all of FHSAA 1A and 18th overall amongst all divisions in the state.
"Ava just started jumping this year and obviously has natural talent for the sport," remarked head coach Dan St. Gean. "In addition to her talent, she brings joy and unbridled enthusiasm to practice each day. I'm excited to see how she finishes out the season."
