Members of the Canterbury Track and Field team are headed to the state championships after a stellar performance at regionals on Tuesday, May 7, at IMG Academy.
Joslyne D. '26 headlined the group of Cougars, qualifying in
all four events she competed in! She brought home
first place in the 100m hurdles (14.77s), anchored the 4x100m relay team to a
first-place finish, and qualified in the long jump (second place) and 200m (fourth place).
The
4x100 relay team (Cheyenne M. '26, Ellie M. '25, Alex T. '25, Joslyne D. '26) continued their dominance, racing to a new school record (48.71s) and
first place finish.
Congratulations are also in order for:
Ava W. '27 (third place, high jump),
Collin M. '25 (third place, high jump), and
4x400 relay team (Ellie M. '25, Carlie M. 28, Alex T. '25, Cheyenne M. '26) on qualifying for the state championships.
The Cougars will compete in the FHSAA 1A State Championships on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, on the campus of University of North Florida.

100M--Joseph D. '24 changed out his baseball cap for a track jersey and earned 4th overall in the region despite being primarily a baseball player. 0.04 seconds separated Joe from second place (and the automatic bid)! What a tight race, and what a competitor!
