Dhira S. ’29 Achieves Second Place in the Invention Convention Americas 2024
We are proud to announce that Dhira S. ’29 has secured second place in the Grades 6-8 division of the Invention Convention Americas 2024, presented by RTX.
Dhira was among over 100 young inventors chosen as finalists for this prestigious competition, which highlights innovative solutions designed to address some of the world's most urgent challenges. The finalists’ inventions were meticulously evaluated by a panel of 30 international judges, culminating in a virtual awards ceremony on August 22, 2024, where 13 top honors were awarded.
Dhira’s award-winning invention, SafeSteer™, leverages facial recognition technology and an AI-powered chatbot to monitor driver alertness, offering proactive warnings if signs of drowsiness are detected.
