Congratulations to Ryan P. '26, who earned First Place in the Patriots of the American Revolution Essay Contest, sponsored by the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Estero Chapter.
Competing against students from Canterbury and other local high schools, Ryan’s essay stood out among many submissions.
His winning essay focused on Thomas Paine, the influential writer whose ideas helped shape George Washington’s political ideologies during the American Revolution.
Ryan’s essay has now been submitted for consideration at the state-level competition. Best of luck, Ryan!
