Christiana Deeter Named to National Vernier Trendsetters Community
We are proud to share that Upper School Chemistry Teacher and Science Department Chair Christiana Deeter has been selected to join the Vernier Trendsetters Community, a national cohort of innovative STEM educators recognized for their excellence in science instruction.
Deeter is one of just 23 high school educators from across the country chosen for this professional learning community, hosted by Vernier Science Education. The program brings together teachers who are passionate about hands-on learning and data-collection technology to share ideas, develop best practices, and further their professional growth throughout the school year.
“Our new cohort of Vernier Trendsetters are true rockstars—they are passionate, innovative, and dedicated to fostering STEM literacy in their classrooms and beyond,” said Jill Hedrick, CEO of Vernier Science Education. “We are excited to work with these teachers to help expand their professional learning and elevate the amazing work they are doing to support their science students.”
As part of the Trendsetters Community, Deeter will collaborate with fellow STEM educators from across the nation, participate in professional development opportunities, contribute to Vernier’s content and programming, and provide feedback on emerging educational tools and technology. She may also be eligible for national recognition and financial support to attend and present at science education conferences.
This honor highlights Deeter’s dedication to creating engaging, relevant, and tech-forward learning experiences for Canterbury students. Her leadership continues to elevate Canterbury’s science program and inspire the next generation of problem solvers and innovators.
