Marina Curry '20 Speaks to Freshman Seminar Classes
On October 1, 2024, Canterbury alum Marina Curry '20 visited our Freshman Seminar classes to share valuable insights from her recent studies in history.
As a history major, Marina provided fantastic tips on conducting personal interviews and effectively using and citing archival materials—essential skills for our students as they prepare for their upcoming research presentations on Canterbury’s history.
Each student group has been assigned a specific decade of Canterbury’s past to explore, engaging in interviews with alumni or faculty from that era, examining past issues of The Lair, and analyzing photographs and artifacts from our archives. Marina’s guidance equipped students with the tools to enrich their projects with authentic voices and historical context.
