The Canterbury Theatre Department is excited to announce the new Thespian Board for the 2023-24 academic year.
The board is responsible for planning and organizing thespian related events, including: the district and state festivals, beans and scenes campus events, and many more. This year, the board is excited to roll out Mean Girls, The Musical, as well as try for an unprecedented three-peat in the One-Act division.
Last year, the Canterbury Theatre Department rolled out an epic lineup of shows that included: The Diary of Anne FrankandElf the Musical. They also brought home top honors as the best One-Act in the state for the second year in a row!
"I am ridiculously proud of these students," exclaimed Upper School Theatre Director Aaron Jackson. "Two years in a row is just amazing. It is uncommon for a program to not only receive a bid two years in a row, but win it... I'm looking forward to what this group will bring to the stage this year."
Congratulations to the following thespians on being appointed to the 2023-24 board: Ella C. '25 (president), Macy M. '25 (vice president), Natasha A. '25 (secretary), Ava S. '25 (treasurer), Faith W. '25 (historian), Charlotte T. '25 (publicist), and Abby K. '25 (resident stage manager).
