Troupe #5782 Receives Superior Ratings at SWFTs

Canterbury's Thespian Troupe 5782 brought home 27 awards from the local Southwest Florida Theatrical Society (SWFTs) competition hosted at Cypress Lake High School on October 4-5, 2024.
More than 30 Cougar thespians traveled to Cypress Lake High to compete in an array of categories from design to monologues, acting, and musical performances. In total, Troupe 5782 received 21 Superior ratings, 3 Excellent ratings, and THREE Best in Room!

A special shoutout to Ella C. ’25, Rose O. ’25, and Shennan N. ’26 for receiving Best in Room for a small group musical. Sheenan N. ’26 received Best in Room for her solo. Addison B. ’27 also won Best in Room for publicity design. 

“This is our fifth year doing this competition and it’s the best we have ever done. Our thespians are amazing and I couldn’t be prouder,” shared Upper School Theatre Director Aaron Jackson.
