Cougars Shine in Naples Meet, Girls' Team Takes First Place!
Canterbury's Varsity Track and Field athletes put on an incredible performance at the meet on March 19, 2025, hosted by The Village School in Naples. Competing against eight schools of similar size, our Cougars delivered standout results, with two school records broken, numerous personal bests, and an outstanding team victory for the girls!

- Sprint Events:
- 100 Meters: Cheyenne M. ’26 took first place (13.47), with Mackenzie M. ’26 finishing fourth (13.97).
- 200 Meters: Carlie M. ’28 placed second (27.75), while Mackenzie M. ’26 secured fifth (29.23).
- 400 Meters: Carlie M. ’28 secured first (1:03.55), with Clara T. ’27 in second (1:06.00).
- Distance Events:
- 800 Meters: Gabriella O. ’28 clinched first place (2:46.18).
- 1600 Meters: Clara T. ’27 took another victory (5:37.03), with Livi F. ’26 in third (5:45.58).
- Field Events:
- High Jump: Ava W. ’27 (second, 1.47m) and Melania P. ’28 (third, 1.37m) excelled.
- Shot Put: Remy F. ’26 won with a 9.90m throw, followed by Lydia K. ’27 (second, 8.84m) and Melania P. ’28 (third, 7.75m).
- Discus: Remy F. ’26 set a new school record (27.80m) to take first place!
- Javelin: Remy F. ’26 also broke another school record, finishing second (27.40m).
Boys' Team Sees Strong Individual Performances
While several top male athletes stayed home in preparation for an upcoming invitational, those who competed made significant strides:

- 100 Meters: Stephan S. ’27 achieved a personal best (12.47).
- 200 Meters: Gabe D. ’25 placed fourth (24.79), followed by Stephan S. ’27 in fifth (25.32).
- High Jump: Collin M. ’25 secured first place (1.77m).
- Throws & Distance:
- Discus: Ryder L. ’28 placed sixth (26.38m).
- Javelin: Banner B. ’28 finished fifth (27.55m).
