Congratulations to Anika K. ’25 for Being Named a National Merit Semifinalist!
We are thrilled to announce that Anika K. ’25 has been named a National Merit Semifinalist by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®). This prestigious honor places Anika among the top academic achievers in the country.
The NMSC recently revealed the names of more than 16,000 Semifinalists in the 70th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. These talented high school seniors now have the opportunity to compete for 6,870 National Merit Scholarships, collectively worth nearly $26 million, to be awarded next spring.
Anika earned this recognition by excelling on the 2023 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®), which served as the initial screening for program entrants. More than 1.3 million juniors from approximately 21,000 high schools nationwide participated, with Semifinalists representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors and ranking among the top scorers in their respective states.
Winners of the 2025 National Merit Scholarships will be announced in four nationwide releases from April through July. We wish Anika the best of luck as she advances in this prestigious competition!
