Dr. Sam Potolicchio Visits Canterbury

Canterbury recently welcomed Dr. Sam Potolicchio, our Distinguished Global Scholar, back to campus for a captivating two-day visit filled with engaging discussions with students and faculty.
About Dr. Potolicchio: Named one of “America’s Best Professors” by the Princeton Review, Dr. Potolicchio is the Founder of the Preparing Global Leaders Forum and a renowned educator who has lectured in over 85 countries. He teaches leadership and political systems at top institutions, including Georgetown University and the Library of Congress.

During his visit, Dr. Potolicchio engaged with Upper School classrooms on topics such as interviewing techniques and the art of asking meaningful questions. He shared insights on becoming a “questionologist,” emphasizing the importance of asking, “What’s the question I should have asked you?” to uncover deeper, more compelling stories.

Dr. Potolicchio also explored the role of charisma and sincerity in connecting with others. He concluded his visit with a hands-on critique session for Cougar Vision students, providing valuable feedback on interview techniques.
