Alumni Reunion + Cougar Community Weekend Brings Together Generations of Cougars!

Canterbury alumni, families, and friends gathered for a memorable Alumni Reunion and Cougar Community Weekend on April 5-6, 2025. The weekend celebrated community, competition, and camaraderie in true Cougar spirit!
Saturday, April 5 – Alumni Reunion at Bay Street Yard The weekend kicked off with an unforgettable alumni gathering at the new Bay Street Yard in downtown Fort Myers. The evening was filled with great food, refreshing drinks, and plenty of excitement as our Cougars cheered on their favorite teams during the Final Four basketball games.

Sunday, April 6 – The 2025 Javedan Family Cougar Pickleball Open The festivities continued on Sunday morning with the inaugural 2025 Javedan Family Cougar Pickleball Open, hosted by DNA Pickleball in Fort Myers. Nearly 30 parents, alumni, students, and faculty hit the courts for a lively day of doubles matches. The energy was high, and the competition was friendly as players of all skill levels enjoyed the fast-growing sport of pickleball. A special thank you to Canterbury alumni Elizabeth Dosoretz ’98, Jason Moon ’97, and DNA Pickleball for hosting this fantastic event!

We also want to recognize some standout moments from the tournament:
  • Winning Team: Jorge and Jayden ‘30 Valentin
  • Best Dressed: Monica Favalli P’25’28
  • Most Spirited: Emiro Perez P’28
  • Dinkmaster: Laith Abuoqab ‘25
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special weekend! Whether reminiscing with old friends, making new connections, or engaging in some friendly competition, it was a celebration of the Canterbury spirit that continues to thrive in our incredible community. We can't wait to see everyone again next year!
