Athlete of the Week: February 5-11, 2024
Congratulations to the varsity boys soccer team's backline on being selected as this week's Athletes of the Week for the week of February 5-11, 2024.
The Cougar backline consisting of Ian M. '24, Zach B. '24, Tristan C. '26, and Jonah C. '27 were instrumental in the boys soccer team's postseason success. The quartet held Cambridge Christian School and Out-of-Door Academy scoreless in the region quarter and semifinals, allowing just two shots on goal.

“This week we faced a few challenges including illness and injuries that are not uncommon this deep into the season," explained head boys soccer coach Jared Rust. "I am extremely proud of how our players responded and the way they came together to overcome this adversity."
He went on to add, “When you play through situations like this and are missing a key piece in our blackline in Landon Wiese, it is difficult to identify one individual player that made the difference. Zachary, Tristan, Ian, and Jonah stepped up and played as one dominant defensive unit.”
This year's team motto was "Together We Rise" and these four stepped up together and anchored the Cougars to victory.
