Athlete of the Week: March 4-10, 2024
Congratulations to varsity boys tennis player Dylan M. '25 on being selected as our Athlete of the Week for the week of March 4-10, 2024.
Dylan helped lead the Cougar boys tennis team to the finals of the Private 8 Championships last week against Community School of Naples. Dylan was undefeated through the Private 8 tournament before dropping a hard-fought, three-set match (6-2, 6-7, 10-12) in the finals.
"Dylan is a phenomenal tennis player," said head coach Brennan Mercker, "But what truly sets him apart is his dedication to his teammates and representing Canterbury in a way that earns the respect of other teams.
"I was so proud of the way he pushed through the intense three-hour match, and how he carried himself after, applauding his opponent in the midst of defeat. He is a role model that every athlete should strive to emulate."
