Captain Dylan M. stepped up in a big way for his team this week during Private 8 competition. With the team’s regular #1 out of the lineup, Dylan took on the challenge of playing both #1 singles and doubles in matches on Tuesday and Thursday — and delivered standout performances.
The #1 singles matches are always the toughest, often featuring opponents with 8+ UTR rankings and top 5 regional standings. On Tuesday, Dylan battled hard in both singles and doubles, demonstrating grit and determination.
"Dylan played a hard-fought match Tuesday in both singles and doubles, never giving up a point. If points were lost, he made the opponent earn every single one," said Coach Alicia Raymond.
Dylan carried that momentum into Thursday’s match, where he secured wins in both his #1 singles and doubles matches, teaming up with his brother, Noah Moon.
"He then went on to Thursday to win both his #1 singles and doubles matches for the team, playing with his brother, Noah," Coach Raymond added.
Dylan is now 5-1 in singles play this season — a testament to his hard work, leadership, and ability to perform under pressure.
Way to go, Dylan!
